Conservation
First of all, it’s important to keep in mind that the lifespan of this delicacy never exceeds two weeks. Therefore, if you purchase fresh truffle 2-3 days after harvest, its remaining shelf life will be approximately 10 days. Although consuming fresh truffle is the best way to fully enjoy its flavor, if you wish to store it for a short period in anticipation of a dinner with friends or a special occasion, it is advisable to wrap it in a paper bag or cloth and store it in a tightly sealed container, preferably at a temperature between three and six degrees Celsius. Another equally effective option is to use absorbent paper, such as paper towels, making sure to change it daily to keep the truffle fresh for longer.
Use
We brush our fresh truffles to remove only the outermost layer of soil, as the dirt residues help protect and preserve their aroma. The truffle should be washed thoroughly only at the time of use, preferably under running water with a brush. We recommend slicing it thinly when ready to use, using a truffle slicer, and placing it on warm dishes such as our truffle pasta to fully release its flavor.
Shipping
Fresh truffle shipments occur from Monday to Wednesday. Orders received by 1:00 PM will be processed the same day, while those received after 1:00 PM will be handled the following day. Orders placed from Wednesday afternoon through Sunday will be shipped on the following Monday to avoid delays that could affect the freshness of the product in the courier’s warehouses. Fresh truffles are prepared, placed in insulated containers, and delivered within 24 to 48 hours, depending on the destination and courier availability.
